How I Got Started
My journey into education and career counseling began through a personal connection — I came to know our Founder, Bindu Dhakal, while I was living in Japan, and it was through her vision and passion for helping students that I found my own path into this field.

Background
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and before joining this sector, I built my career as a radio journalist — an experience that sharpened my communication skills and taught me how to truly listen to people’s stories, a skill I now use every day while counseling students.

I lived in Japan for 6 years and speak Japanese at a business-fluent level, which allows me to understand not just the language but the culture, work ethics, and everyday realities that our students will face once they arrive.

My Role
As Manager and Counselor, my role covers student counseling, staff management, and marketing — giving me a well-rounded view of both the student experience and the operations that support it.

My Philosophy
What drives me most in this work is helping students build a positive mindset toward their careers. I believe that before any visa, university, or job placement, a student needs to believe in themselves. I always encourage students to be independent — to stand on their own effort rather than depend on others, and to be thankful for the help they receive along the way rather than expecting more from others. This mindset, I believe, is what truly prepares them for success abroad.

Beyond Work
Outside of work, I find balance and joy through yoga, singing, traveling, reading, cooking, and connecting with people through conversation.

My personal motto is simple: Be positive, and love yourself. I try to carry this into every interaction with our students, because I believe confidence and self-worth are the real foundation of any successful journey.
